Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt 2013 - Celtic Solstice

I am just about done part one of Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt.  I have changed my colors up a bit from hers.  I am not a fan of what she choose so I didn't have much on hand.  Besides I had a great stash of black and whites saved up that I had been collecting and dying to use!

I am using black and whites where she used her blue.  I am using Teal/Aquas where she used her orange.

I am using white and blacks as my neutrals.

I have all the teal blocks done and I am almost done the neutrals.  I have one side put on the rest of the blocks you don't see here.  There are about 50 left.   I should be able to finish those up tonight.

I have never used the Tri-Rec rulers and have discovered I absolutely love them.  Every one of my blocks came out exactly right.  I am glad I watched Bonnie's videos because I might have missed cutting out the notch on the end.

Today I am linking up to Bonnie's blog, Quiltville, and I can't wait to see what everyone else has done.

  9. Your colors speak to me too. Would have used similar but did Easy Street and used up a lot of my turq/teals and blk and whites. I'm using Bonnie's colors mostly. Didn't get enough done or picture to post, but maybe next week I will.

  10. When I saw your Linky on Bonnie's site I just had to click to your blog! My favorite color is turquoise and the black/white looks terrific with it. I'm not doing the mystery. I can't imagine where you find your time! But I will be following you to see what other turquoise-y loveliness you have in store.
